What happens to my PTO when I leave Walmart? If you're a facility-level salaried associate and have been with Walmart for at least a year, you will be paid out up to five days of accrued and unused PTO upon termination.

Plus if you don't use all your PTO this year, some rolls over to the new year and the rest turns into cash! The longer you're here, the more you earn. You earn PTO with every hour you work, and even when you use PTO. The more years you work for Walmart, the faster you earn it.

If your PTO balance is less than 80 hours (or 48 for part-timers), all of your PTO carries over to start the new plan year. You will not receive a cash-out. If some of your PTO cashes out, you'll receive a one-time payment of your total cash-out hours times your hourly rate of pay.
